About Woodworking Nest

Woodworking Nest publishes free woodworking plans for beginners and experienced builders. Every plan has a cut list in inches and millimeters, step-by-step instructions and diagrams drawn from one shared 3D part model, so the measurements, the cut list and the drawings always agree.

How our plans are made

Each plan is designed from a full part list. The 3D model checks that every part fits and that the finished size matches the cut list before anything is published. Each plan shows its status: Conceptual design (designed and checked on paper), Technically reviewed or Built and tested (built in a real workshop and photographed).

Some pictures on this site are illustrative renders made with AI image tools, to show what a finished project looks like. They are always labelled “Illustrative render”. Real build photos replace them when a project is built.
